Ben specialises in photographing food, drink and interiors for a wide range of restaurants, hotels, PR and marketing agencies, interior designers, architects and F&B brands throughout London and around the UK.
Ben's clients range from independent restaurants to Michelin starred fine dining, from new craft gins to well established wine brands and from one-of-a-kind shepherd huts to high-end hotel groups.
Working closely with the clients, he produces individual images designed to reflect each unique venue, dish or brand.
For interiors Ben usually uses a combination of natural light, his own lighting set-up and shooting multiple exposures which are combined together in post-production to create images which show the interiors to their full potential. Although this method can take a little time, it results in stunning, high-quality images. Many of Ben's images have been used for award-winning interior design projects around the UK.
When photographing food and drink Ben can do this in a studio or out on location at your restaurant/venue. He tailors each shoot to the clients brief using natural daylight and/or studio flash. During the shoot Ben can have as little or as much styling input as you like. On some shoots the chef/stylist will create beautiful dishes which need no extra styling but, if required, Ben can take the creative lead to produce plates which look visually appealing through the lens. Ben has a selection of highly recommended stylists who can also be used on a shoot, if needed.
Ben also photographs many F&B products, from gourmet marshmallows to bottles of alcohol for worldwide brands. Working on his own or alongside a production team Ben creates images unique to each brand, marketing campaign and budgets.

In restaurant PR, a picture speaks a thousands words and is essential when it comes to getting our clients on the pages of the best publications; Ben's photos always hit the brief, tell the story, and secure our restaurants the best coverage possible."

"As a pop-up restaurant we do events in some fairly unusual locations and have photography requirements to match. Whether it’s a dimly-lit steelyard or canapés in a Victorian townhouse, Ben never fails to capture stunning images that help bring our business to life both within a space and on the plate. And all that paired with fast turnaround times, flexibility and someone who is an absolute pleasure to work with."
Paul Ross, Dram & Smoke
"Ben is a fantastic photographer to work with. As the owner and head chef of a small food business, capturing my product in the best possible way is crucial. Ben recognises this and focuses the shoot in a way that makes all the pictures completely usable - from creative styling to straight packaging shots for magazine editorials. He is incredibly responsive to our needs and I could not be more thrilled with the results."
Oonagh Simms, The Marshmallowist
"Ben is an excellent photographer, his eye for composition and colour combine with his ability to understand what the client is looking for to create stunning images that give a unique quality to each brand that he works with. His images have helped us develop our Glamping business and have been instrumental in gaining national coverage, as we have been able to provide high quality and eye-catching images. We do a yearly shoot with him for www.dimpsey.co.uk and I have recommended him to other people I work with - who have been extremely pleased the shoots he has done for them.
The cherry on the cake is that as well as producing great images to tight deadlines, he is totally genuine and lovely to work with."
